There’s nothing wrong with being gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or asexual. You’re sexual orientation doesn’t change how smart you are or what your talents are. It’s just a part of who you are it’s not who you are. People aren’t always accepting of this and that’s okay, you just need to surround yourself with people who care about you and who support you and who you are. People who try to change you aren’t worth your time, be yourself don’t change because someone wants you to.
In my opinion, I think that every state within the United States should legalize same-sex marriage. I don’t only feel that way because I, myself am gay. I believe that everyone should be treated equally, no matter what sexuality, religion or even race. It shouldn’t matter who a person is, no one should be treated differently than the next man/woman. Legalizing gay marriage at a federal level will only make it easier for same-sex couples to live where they want to and get married in the state that they live in. Allowing same sex couples to marry will open a new book for the LGBT community. It will prove that America is truly a free country and that we treat everyone the same.
Equal rights is something that people have been fighting for since slavery was around. To think that we are still fighting for it to this day is completely shocking to me. The only thing that should matter in marriage is love, it shouldn’t matter where we marry or even who we marry. The only thing that is important is the love the couple shares. No one should be able to tell anyone that they cannot love a person because they are of the same-sex or they shouldn’t be able to stop same-sex couples from tying their relationship off with getting married. How don’t people feel some kind of shame for criticizing or judging people/couples because of their sexual orientation? It doesn’t make sense to me that the one country that so many people come to for freedom doesn’t allow all of their citizens to get married. I just can’t even comprehend it. They say it’s because of the bible, but aren’t we suppose to separate church and state? Why can’t we all just be treated equally? Love is love, No matter who we are, what our sexual orientation is, our religion or our race; none of that should matter when it comes done to love.
